christmas in july.

it was a dollar. killer.

they are resin and I can just see my kiddos man-handling them and hopefully not breaking. hope they last forever.

soo charming. I was going to sell some but I don't know if I can bring myself to share.

and thrifting is my new fav thing. just bought a rocking chair for the nursery today and some gorge vintage fabrics. and a tree topper for my boys christmas trees. and all so cheap and all vintage. in heaven.

oh, and the pink table runner? my great-grandma Lenna's vintage.

little joys.

so being a mom was scary to me at first. but now, almost 4 babies born to our family, I am feeling a little more comfortable. thank heavens. and there is nothing like hearing your babies laugh together after nighttime prayers and stories. or the happiness of holding hands with your boys. as busy and crazy we may be, there is nothing like being momma.

new necklace.

in love with Tandy Leather Co. right now. I am working on some baby mocs right now and I couldn't help myself to their accesories at Michael's. so cute. I could have bought out the whole section. so this indian-inspired necklace just came together in my mind standing there. I think the beaded accessory was like $7 something and if you use a 40% off coupon, well-there you go. I had some broken necklaces that I have saved and repurposed. it came out to be like 22 inches long and all of it pure goodness. gadfreys. sometimes you surprise yourself.

gearing up for fall.

so much happening this fall. new baby, new line of crochet for polite and for P&Co. probubly won't miss the heat of the summer. completely will miss my Jax home with me all day. starting kindergarten is mostly for parents to start to let go, right. well, I don't like it. and Naschie is going to preschool. very exciting. and Grae gets to be a big brother. with a big boy bed. too bad someone hasn't found a way to bottle the littleness of life, since I would invest big bucks just to save this time.
and today we snuck into the USU football stadium to see the field in hopes to get to run around on it for just a minute. but really it was open and we were the only people in sight so we climbed down onto the turf. it was exciting for the boys. and me too, since I had actually never been on the field before. I will miss our dorky little summer field trips we create, like slurpee runs and exciting 25 cent car washes, and thrifting with the boys.
oh, summer. here comes fall.

just loved how these pillows turned out. so the stripey fabric is ikea. the one with the blue pom-pom edging I bought the fabric at the local bernina store. love that place. and the crochet round chevron pillow I made. look for more pillows coming to polite.

30 weeks.

consider yourself lucky. I NEVER take picts of my pregnant self. just don't like doing it. liked my outfit today so that helped. only 10 to go. yay.

golfing.

so I took the first pict from the car because it was so hot. the boys got a tiger woods golf set, so cute. looks just like the real thing with little yellow socks and everything. they of course had to each get their own little golf gloves. I just love having boys. and the green...has anyone else just wanted to kick off their shoes and rub their feet the perfectly manicured grasses of a course?

pin cushion.

in love with sewing again. at least pins. and walmart (who knew) has such cute pins. anyway, it is finished and now I sit and plan my next project just to use it.

finished. pretty much.

so the pict is crapy but I painted it light minty green and used the original hardware. loved the way it turned out. the changing pad is Grae's so the new baby's will be new. needed the drawer space like crazy.

a nibble.

just thought I would give you a nibble of the new nursery, well-the changing table, that is. I found it at DI and looved its good bones. I am going to use its original hardware, too. just loved it. so here is the before... I will be posting the after asap or as soon as it is done.

new puppy boy.

yes. another boy to the palmer family. but this time a puppy boy. a mal-chi pup with the most darling sweet personality. that loves my little boys and always wants to sit on my lap and take a nap. just what I like. oh, his name is...
JOHNNY CASH PANCAKES PALMER. can you tell that no one could decide? love the name and just love our puppy.

the bomb.

everyone knows ikea is the bomb. in fact, I just spent 3 hours there today. 3. and relished in the fabric. did you know they have new fabrics? and colorful. needless to say it took me way to long to decide on curtain fabric for new baby, pillow fabric for new baby, boys new curtain fabric and well, anything else I could find the excuse to buy for. oh, and I got my first brand new crib. it's blue. bought my tried and true old one used, and it finally gave out. finally. can't wait to post picts when the new and final nursery is done.

wallpapers.

is anyone else drooling over wallpaper lately? just can't help myself, I keep finding places in my house to put them and then trying to figure out how to actually do it since we are trying to sell our home. I know, I know. I should wait, for the new place. just hope I can. check out these beauts from anthro. in love.

movie, um...afternoon.

couldn't wait to see eclipse (of course) and neither could anyone else apparently. I tried to get tix a bunch of times and had to settle for 4 IN THE AFTERNOON. wierd. don't think I have ever been to a movie then. but it was packed and lots of twihards screaming. daddy even said he was the only guy in there. not true, since I know for sure I saw at least one other... but it was amazing. and daddy liked the battle scenes. so good. totally going to see it again.
