thinking about it.
so I am just sitting here, hugie pregnant for maybe the last night ever. daddy and I are officially done after this last boy and I can't help but think this is the end of an era. baby era, I guess. I will so miss my little babies. I do just love my boys and everything that comes with it, though. I have so much more to look forward to. and I have lots of friends with girls that I just wait to spoil. and two nieces. can't wait to see this new baby. oh, tomorrow is the big due date, I am going to see my baby doc to check and see if everything is looking ok to be induced tomorrow. hope for the best. I am just so ready to finally have him in my arms and in our world. and hopefully all the questions about how the new baby "comes out" will go away...such curious boys. and they won't get to know anything about any of this until they are like 30.

you say goodbye and I said hello.
nursery picts. and car seat, too.
so I am finished with everything in the nursery but the crib pads. so I will save the crib for later. but I am sooo happy to be done, just about.
the changing table is an antique chest of drawers bought off of KSL.com, yep I changed my mind. white vinyl quakies and thrifted bird houses. lots of empty picture frames for my little ones picts! thrifted rocker, thrifted metal side table, thrifted fab green ceramic lamp for late nights. in love with yellow metal praying boy and girl, thrifted. and the hanging shelf, thrifted and I painted glossy black. I MADE the stensiled mushroom print (I KNOW. turned out amazing) and I crocheted funny momma and baby jellyfishes for a mobile. drapes are ikea, which is always amamzing. crib is ikea, too. so, ISN't THE RUG TO DIE FOR? are you ready for this? DI, thrifted for $12. I know, I can't believe it either. and totally washable and double sided. love it. thrifted vintage print of a young man Jesus (just beautiful) and my hand-embroidered wall art. and my eliptical machine in currently being stored in there, so I better get a move on after the baby is born. hope my new little one loves it as much as I do.
the car seat. took me too long to finish the crocheted cover. which I politely am not ever going to replicate, not even for me. good idea, too much work. but I loved how it turned out. and the little crocheted sleepy owl toy? see more of that come halloween time. you might see a little sleepy owl of our own.
oh, here's a little more.
so, my computer hiccuped and it freaked me out. so the halloween post should be one but is now two. and I loved my wreaths this year, I made them. I will post the pipe-cleaner spiders and bat garland the boys made as soon as we finish them. Oh, and I threw in my collection of vintage needlepoint. I am kinda in love with it.
promised halloween decor.

soccer finally.
we have been waiting for soccer for the whole summer. daddy coached Naschie's team and Jax got to be on the big 5 year old team by himself. and Graedy hated it. sitting in the stroller and watching isn't easy. and the whole time momma and hugie baby belly loved just getting to be there. hopefully I can make it to at least a couple more games before baby boy decides to come. loving the boy life.

new baby due.
so finally our new baby boy is due this week. I can't wait for him to be here but then I can since he is our last. love the fact that I will never be hugie pregnant but there is something really special about pregnancy and new babies. especially new babies. I have been working like crazy making hats and booties and swaddling blankets to take to the hospital. just hope I can get it done buy the time he comes. and the false labor? oodles. so any day now I can finally post picts of our new little palmer man.

ophir.
we loved ophir this year. we actually go every year around my birthday. its a charming little abandoned mining town tucked into the oquirrhs that now about 12 families call home all year round. the others have cabins and just enjoy all that the tiny canyon has to offer. and grandpa dave and grandma lois have the most amazing little cabin. it never changes, which I love. I basically grew up there. I want my boys to know it and love it too. and they do. and I got to use my new camera and soak in the perfect weather and my boys. no family picts though since I am just huge.
project new baby.
so the basinette. which I wouldn't really blog about but it is all thrifted. all of it. gran and grandpa matt found the basinette at the DI (which will be handed down when I am finished, sniffle). then I found the rooster red fabric for the bumper pads thrifted and the pillow fabric thrifted, too. the sheet is flannel and boy blue rose buds! darling sweet blue trim found at joann in the dollar bin. and I crocheted the chevron nautical blanket. can't wait to put a new baby boy in it.
project baby.
project new baby.
so many fun baby things to make, so little time to make them. only have 2 weeks left? I am having the best time making the most of it for my last new little one.
the crochet booties are of course p&co, my original designs. and the denim booties? a DIY over at prudentbaby.com. go check it out. they turned out so cute. and the BABY MOCS? to die for. just wanted some so bad and I had the leather so I just could justify buying them. so I made a pattern and sewed them on my old, old singer. and they are my FAV. new baby totally coming home from the hospital in style.
my school boy.
